South Australia bushfire: State Inquiry Centre now open 9am to 6pm

Calls to the State Inquiry Centre set up to help people looking for their loved ones following the Pinery bushfire in South Australia have slowed, and it will now be operating on reduced hours.

The centre, which can be reached on 1800 727 077, takes calls for the Red Cross-operated Register.Find.Reunite. service. As of tomorrow it will be open from 9am to 6pm ACDT, instead of the 24 hours a day it had been operating since opening on Wednesday.

Anyone looking for loved ones who might have been affected by the Pinery fire can call the centre and register with Register.Find.Reunite. As well those affected by the fires who want to let their family and friends know they are okay can also call the service to register their details.

Register.Find.Reunite. can also still be accessed around the clock via the Red Cross website register.redcross.org.au.
